

Alumni Spotlight: Chris Connelly ’04, Computer Graphics

Join us for an insightful interview with alumnus Chris Connelly, designer-turned-engineer, about his journey in the tech industry, career highlights, challenges, and more, conducted by Jay Holmes, secretary of the Computer Science Club. Following the interview, Connelly will field questions from attendees. (Connelly will be presenting virtually.)
Closing remarks will be presented by Prashant Timalsina, president of the Computer Science Club.
Connelly has expertise in user interface (UI) architecture, front-end, design systems, web application, and web video. He is currently working as a staff software engineer at Coinbase in New York City. But over the course of nearly two decades of his career in the tech industry, Connelly has worn various hats, including those of front-end UI architect, UI engineer, lead user experience (UX) designer, interaction designer, creative director, Maya artist, and more. Connelly has not only worked for an impressive list of companies like WWE, Samsung Electronics, Coinbase, Major League Baseball, etc., but he has also co-founded a company called Spothook, a cloud-based recruiting platform.
Connelly graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics in 2004.
