THRIVE Scholars Program Workshop – Teaching While Black, Oh and A Woman

Stephanie R. Logan, EdD, is an associate professor of elementary and multicultural education and chair of the Department of Education at Springfield College. Logan received her Doctorate of Education from Morgan State University in 2009. She is a former elementary school teacher and a former elementary and middle school counselor. Her research interests include preparing culturally competent pre-service teachers, creating inclusive classroom and campus environments, and social studies teaching in elementary classrooms.
The workshops are free and open to Springfield College students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The Department of Social Work’s THRIVE Scholars Program is funded in part thanks to a $300,000 grant received from Boston Children’s Hospital’s Collaboration for Community Health in spring 2022.
