Artist Talk and Opening Reception – The Humanity of Place, Paintings by Jeffrey L. Neumann
Join us for an artist’s talk and opening reception for “The Humanity of Place,” an exhibition of paintings by Jeffrey L. Neumann ’81, G’08.
Neumann will discuss his work starting at 3:15 p.m. at the William Blizard Gallery, to be followed by an opening reception from 4-5:30 p.m.
Neumann enrolled at Springfield College in 1975 as an Art major. He studied under Professors William Blizard and Armando Balboni in a program called Art in Urban Life. While at Springfield College, he developed his painting style of contemporary realism with a focus on subjects that are uniquely American. The paintings in this exhibition are a road trip through the 20th century down our two-lane highways.
