A Taste of Humanics

Springfield College Museum in Judd Gymnasia

Looking to enjoy delicious foods, desserts, wines, and local craft beers while directly supporting Springfield College scholars? The Distinguished Springfield Professors of Humanics annual “A Taste of Humanics” fundraiser will allow you to do just that, with all proceeds from the event going directly to the Friends in Humanics Scholarship, which is completely funded by faculty and staff. Annual distributions from the Peter and Claire Polito Friends in Humanics Scholarship Endowed Fund are also added to this scholarship.

A minimum donation of $25 to the Friends in Humanics Scholarship Fund is requested. RSVP by Monday, Oct. 31, 2022. Gifts may be given in advance or made at the door.

All funds raised—100 percent of dollars given—will be awarded to students nominated to receive the Friends in Humanics Scholarship in 2022-23. This annual fundraiser continues to help Springfield College scholars realize their dreams of graduating from Springfield College and carrying

The Friends in Humanics Scholarship was started by Emeritus Professor Peter Polito, PhD, the 1998-99 Distinguished Springfield Professor of Humanics. The student recipients are awarded at the annual spring Humanics Lecture. Since 1999, more than 120 students have received scholarship awards that helped them stay at Springfield College due to the generosity of faculty and staff. Student awardees have demonstrated financial need, academic scholarship, campus leadership, care and concern for community, and embodiment of our Humanics philosophy. Student recipients are awarded at the annual spring Humanics Lecture.
