Flores de Esperanza Art Installation Opening Reception

Dec 07, 2023 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm

To support and raise awareness for Distinguished Springfield Professor of Humanics Miguel Arce’s campaign, Fostering Equity and Inclusion for Latinas/os in Child and Family Welfare, the students from Special Topics in Art Therapy and Intro to Community Arts have collaborated to create an evocative art installation, Flores de Esperanza (Flowers of Hope), in the lobby and the bell tower of the Flynn Campus Union.

Please join us for a reception on Thursday, December 7, during the common hour (12:15-1 p.m.), for a brief talk by Professor Arce. Enjoy some refreshments and show your appreciation to the students who contributed to this installation.

The installation will be up for viewing from December 7-15.

This event is free and open to the Springfield College community and the public.

If you have a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to fully participate in this event, please contact Julie Calhoun as soon as possible at jcalhoun2@springfield.edu or (413) 748-3930 to discuss your accessibility needs.
