Priority Initiatives

Starting with Big Ideas:

A comprehensive campaign for Springfield College

The case for Springfield has never been stronger and the opportunity to make a difference for the College has never been greater. Springfield College is calling on our community of alumni, students, families, faculty, staff, and friends to partner with us to achieve our objective of sustaining the Springfield College tradition of excellence in educating students for leadership and service in the Humanics tradition.

Campaign Priorities

Ensure Access and Affordability

You can help make the dream of a Springfield College education a reality by supporting access. Students are our most valuable asset and as they and their families struggle to pay for a college education, we must offer them financial support that will help underwrite their education. As the cost of education continues to rise, we must offer our students financial support that will help underwrite their education. Further, it is important to establish funding options for students who are at risk of not returning, those encountering unexpected need or hardship, and others who require emergency funding.

How can YOU advance Humanics?

GOAL $15 million

“You can get an education at any college. A Springfield College education is unique and different. There’s only one place you can get this education.”

~ Paul ’65, G’72, PhD, and Nancy ’68 Couzelis established a $1 million endowed fund to provide annual Couzelis Scholarships.

Build Capacity

“A new health sciences building will strengthen recruitment and retention of the finest students, faculty, and staff, and will reinforce the Springfield College position in the dynamic and innovative healthcare environment.”

~ Brooke Hallowell, PhD, Dean, School of Health Sciences

How can YOU advance Humanics?

GOAL $25 million

Impact our students preparing to Advance Humanics through health science fields.

A new Health Science Center will impact existing programs in the health sciences and create space for new academic programs. The new building will reflect current best practices in pedagogy, clinical education, and interprofessional collaboration, distinguishing Springfield College as a leader in preparing practitioners, researchers, and educators. A variety of naming opportunities are available, including academic program wings, classrooms, laboratories, common areas, simulation spaces, a functional living lab, and meeting rooms.

Enrich Experiences

How can YOU advance Humanics?

GOAL $5 million

Impact our students seeking to live the Humanics mission in all that they do in their College experiences.

  • From athletics and East Campus to study abroad and internships, students take on experiences to expand their world view.
  • Faculty enrichment promotes collaboration among colleagues across disciplines and augments available resources.
  • Faculty research experiences involving students prepare them for graduate programs, medical school, and careers.
  • New academic programs will distinguish Springfield College for academic preparation that prioritizes education in spirit, mind, and body as a foundational commitment.

Sustain Excellence and Financial Stability

Delivering a high-quality education during a global pandemic taught us many things. The College learned to pivot, to embrace change with flexibility of mind, and to gain strength from our Humanics mission. The pandemic also underscored the importance of the Springfield College Fund, a fund dedicated to addressing unforeseen, unexpected, and pressing needs of the College.

How can YOU advance Humanics?

GOAL $5 million

“Springfield College has allowed me to embrace who I am at the very core, to be unapologetically myself, and to live a life with purpose and in service to others. If it weren’t for this college, I would most certainly not be the man that I am today.”

~ Ryan Yelle, ’20, G’22, Physician Assistant Program
