Peer Writing Tutors have been approved by faculty and undergo extensive training to help students become confident and independent writers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Faculty Writing Specialists<\/strong> hold terminal degrees in writing or closely related fields and have extensive experience teaching and supporting writing at the college and graduate levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"randi-berry\">Randi Berry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writinghub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/12\/Randi-Berry.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writingsc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/12\/Randi-Berry.jpg 250w, https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writingsc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/12\/Randi-Berry-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Randi Berry<\/strong> is a second-year Rehabilitation Counseling graduate student, graduating this May. Alongside being a writing tutor, they are also an Accessibility Assistant in the Disability and Accessibility Services Office on campus. In moments of lull, Randi enjoys crocheting, painting, photography, and long naps with their mountain of Squishmallows. They also have a trusty sidekick, Nijel the Destroyer (pictured), who takes the role of Emotional Support Bearded Dragon seriously. Randi is presently trying to get back into the groove of writing more short stories and reading (and rereading) more books such as All for the Game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"andrew-byler\">Andrew Byler<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"936\" height=\"623\" src=\"https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writinghub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/09\/Andrew-Byler-edited.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-410\" style=\"width:241px;height:160px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writingsc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/09\/Andrew-Byler-edited.png 936w, https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writingsc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/09\/Andrew-Byler-edited-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writingsc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/09\/Andrew-Byler-edited-768x511.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 936px) 100vw, 936px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Andrew&nbsp;Byler<\/strong>&nbsp;graduated from Hampshire College and received his MA in American History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.&nbsp;Andrew&nbsp;ran the Writing Help at Night program at Hampshire College from 2013 to 2021 and is dedicated to helping students build their confidence as writers. In addition to his academic work, he grows tomatoes and ginger at a local 30-acre organic vegetable farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"carley-crain\">Carley Crain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writinghub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/12\/Carley-Crain.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writingsc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/12\/Carley-Crain.jpg 250w, https:\/\/gulick.springfield.edu\/writingsc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2022\/12\/Carley-Crain-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carley Crain<\/strong> is a senior writing tutor at Springfield double majoring in sports journalism and sociology. In her free time, she likes to ski, hike the White Mountains, read, bake, run, hang out with loved ones and listen to music. She received her BA in Psychology from Elizabethtown College and MA in Counseling Psychology from Towson University. Megan is passionate about supporting students through the writing process and helping them grow in their writing abilities. She has a strong enthusiasm for supporting writers inside and outside of the classroom. Her favorite writing skill to teach is paragraph design.
