Springfield College students, faculty, staff, and community partners are invited to a symposium on advancing positive aging through education, research, and action, on and off campus.<\/p>\n
The event will open with a keynote address by Joann M. Montepare<\/strong>, PhD, professor emerita at Lasell University and contributor to the Age-Friendly University (AFU) initiative, followed by a dynamic panel discussion featuring Springfield College faculty and engaging small-group breakout sessions.<\/p>\n Throughout the symposium, participants will explore thought-provoking topics such as redefining what it means to grow older, challenging and reshaping ageist assumptions, and shifting the narrative from deficit-based views of aging to strength-based perspectives.
