THRIVE Scholars Program Workshop – Mental Health and Urban Youth: Clinical and School Perspectives
Presented by Winifred Martin, EdD, LICSW
Winifred Martin, EdD, LICSW, is the CEO and Founder of TRIBE Institute LLC, an esteemed mental health and therapeutic organization that aims to transform the lives of youth, individuals, and families. With extensive experience and expertise in the field, Martin specializes in child and adolescent behavioral and mental health, self-care, mindfulness, individual, marriage, family therapy, and trauma therapy. Throughout her career, Martin has made a profound impact as a school social worker and educator. Understanding the crucial role of social-emotional well-being in academic achievement, she empowers students to thrive in the classroom and their broader community. In addition to her work within schools and community agencies, Martin is a recognized expert in workforce development training. She addresses the prevalent issue of mental health stigma in the workplace, guiding organizations toward creating supportive and inclusive environments.
The workshops are free and open to Springfield College students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
