The Other Hurley Documentary Film Screening and Q&A
The new ESPN documentary, The Other Hurley, which shines a light on arguably the top coach in college basketball today, Dan Hurley of the University of Connecticut, will be screened on campus. Under Hurley’s intense direction, the Huskies won the national championship in both 2023 and 2024. While Hurley comes from a famous basketball family, he was long in the shadow of his father, Bob Sr. (a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame coach), and his older brother, Bobby (two-time NCAA champion as a player at Duke University who went on to play in the NBA).
Following the film, three panelists, including two Springfield College alumni, will discuss the documentary and answer questions from the audience.
Panelists:
David Seronick ’12, Co-Producer and Co-Director of The Other Hurley
Jeremy Schaap, Legendary ESPN journalist and reporter in The Other Hurley
Joe Arruda ’22, University of Connecticut beat writer for the Hartford Courant
