Summer in Rwanda Virtual Information Session 2

Join Vice President for Inclusion and Community Engagement Calvin R. Hill, PhD, via Zoom for an information session to learn about an opportunity to visit Rwanda in the Summer of 2023.

This unique opportunity will engage travelers in an awareness and understanding of global holocaust and genocide issues. During this ten day travel opportunity, participants will examine the social science of violence and nonviolence and the intersecting Rwanda’s Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994. During our time in Rwanda, we will focus on remembrance and resilience of those impacted, and will include time at Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village, a high school for at-risk and vulnerable youth. Travelers will participate in service learning while modeling the best of Springfield College Humanics in Action.

This information session is open to all Springfield College students, faculty, and staff.
