Somatics and Social Justice with Guest Theatre Artist Trenda Loftin

November 11 @ 10:50 am 12:05 pm

The Springfield College Dance Program presents guest artist Trenda Loftin, a theatre artist who will be on campus Thursday, Nov. 11 for two sessions in which she will use somatics-based work through a social justice lens. Classes will consist of both movement and discussion.

You are invited to participate or observe at the Springfield College Dance Studio (second floor of Facilities Management building). Space will be limited to 20 participants per session.

Loftin is a social justice consultant, theatre artist, worker-owner of The Compost Cooperative, and realtor with Coldwell Banker Community Realtors. Committed to using theatre to raise awareness, question patterns, inspire action, and build community, Loftin integrates artistic expression with nuanced identity exploration. Body-centered and collaborative, she works closely with theater companies and organizations utilizing interactive and creative approaches to address inequity within programs, practices, and policies.
