Scholars in Action Days Kickoff Event
Join us as we kick off the 21st Annual Scholars in Action Days with a student showcase of visual arts, music, dance, and literary readings.
Presented by the Department of Visual and Performing Arts and the Department of Literature, Writing, and Journalism, this event includes performances by members of the Springfield College Band and Springfield College Dancers (featuring choreography from senior choreographic research projects by Hannah McGee and Haylee Ritter) along with readings by editors of The Alden Street Review.
This year’s event will also feature the first Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition. A curated exhibition featuring the best 2D, 3D and digital artworks by undergraduate students across campus will be on public display in the lobby of Fuller Arts Center. For this juried show, students submitted work for evaluation, and through a competitive process, were selected by an outside juror for exhibition. This year’s juror is local artist and designer, Jenny Gover. Gover will be presenting awards and prizes to her selections for Best 2D Work, Best 3D Work, Best Digital Work and Overall Best in Show.
Don’t miss this chance to see firsthand our talented students excel!
This event is free and open to the Springfield College community.
