The Religion and Philosophy Spring Forum sponsored by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences presents it’s second speaker, Professor Lloyd Barba, who will speak on “Making a Refuge of Resistance: A History of the U.S. Sanctuary Movement” on Monday March 18th.
The talk will take place in Marsh Memorial Chapel during the Monday common hour time slot.

This talk asks why have houses of worship long protected migrants from immigration enforcement authorities? It is based on Barba’s ongoing book projects on the Sanctuary Movement from the 1980s to the present day.
