Lunch and Learn-Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Big Y Foods, Inc.

Yami Madho, manager of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at Big Y Foods, Inc., will share insights to the Big Y internal DEI journey, best practices, and the move to outreach community partners to support Big Y’s DEI mission to ensure an inclusive and belonging culture that is fair and equitable.
Big Y is one of the largest independently owned supermarket chains in New England with nearly 12,000 employees. Madho has more than 17 years of human resources experience as well as 12-plus years in the diversity, equity and inclusion space. She has an undergraduate degree in sociology and psychology from American International College and certificates from FMI-Food Industry Association, Society for Human Resources Management, and Central Connecticut State University. In addition, she serves as the president of the Human Resources Management Association of Western New England and on the board of directors for the Massachusetts SHRM State Council.
