Feb. 25 – Cultural Connections Speaker Series: Jeff Rocker Speaks on Black Mental Health at 12 noon via Zoom https://springfield.zoom.us/j/95763564774. Sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Multicultural Fund, and in collaboration with the Counseling Center.

Dr. Jeff J. Rocker is a celebrity therapist who holds a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master’s degree in Mental Health counseling. Dr. Rocker is presently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and continues to host workshops to eliminate the stigma of therapy and promote mental health awareness in the community. He also has experience providing therapy to athletes in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. He is a community organizer who emphasizes mental health awareness and the destigmatization of mental illness, especially in the lives of Black men.

Feb. 26We Wear Black – In support of the YMCA African American Resource Network, join the Office of YMCA Relations and Y-Club for We Wear Black on Feb. 26, to take a stand against injustice and racism in all forms. We Wear Black is a campaign to bring awareness to systemic racism and oppression of Black people in the United States and around the globe. Join us.
