Cultural Identity and Me
In this session, Calvin R. Hill, PhD, vice president for inclusion and community engagement, and Jennifer Dashiell-Shoffner, PhD, counselor in the Counseling Center, will examine the concept of ethnic and racial identity development. They will use various models to explore how and why an awareness of one’s own sense of identity plays a vital role in our personal relationships with others, and how our movement within each phase of our identity development impacts how we interact with others.
