Presented by the Rev. D Littlepage
Canon for Mission Advocacy, Racial Justice, and Reconciliation for the Episcopal Church of Connecticut

During uncertain times, when many long-protected aspects of American life and culture appear to be at risk, it is essential for people to learn how to protect their rights. Attendees at this event will learn how to conduct a power analysis, obtain effective community organizing skills, and participate in interactive one-to-one conversations which are central to advocacy efforts.

This event will use principles developed by the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), which is America’s largest network of faith- and community-based organizations. Among its goals is to increase citizen-led community leadership using a relationship-focused method.

The Rev. D Littlepage is the Canon for Mission Advocacy, Racial Justice, and Reconciliation for the Episcopal Church of Connecticut. Littlepage invites others to engage in advocacy, pursue justice, and promote reconciliation. They are an active member of the Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance Clergy Caucus, The Asylum Hill Neighborhood Association, and the ECCT Title IV Taskforce.

This event, co-sponsored by the Social Work and Social Justice Club and the Honors Program, is free and open to the Springfield College community and the public.

If you have a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to participate in this event, please contact Andrew Schoolnik at aschoolnik@springfield.edu as soon as possible to discuss your accessibility needs.
