Alumni Book Club: Exclusive Author Talk with Will Schwalbe – We Should Not Be Friends: The Story of a Friendship
The Springfield College Alumni Book Club will begin reading and discussing We Should Not Be Friends: The Story of a Friendship by Will Schwalbe on May 24 and continue through July 26. Please join us if you haven’t already! From New Haven to New York City, from Hong Kong and Panama, to a remarkable school on an island in the Bahamas, through marriages and a divorce, triumphs and devastating losses, We Should Not Be Friends tracks an extraordinary friendship over decades of challenge and change. Join us for a live Author Talk with Will Schwalbe on Thursday, July 18 at 6 p.m. ET.
How does the book club work? Compliments of the Springfield College Office of Alumni Relations, our book club connects through a private online forum where members respond to different discussions and other “bookish” topics to engage with one another. We spend about two months reading each book to accommodate reader schedules and preferences. Discussions occur online and are asynchronous, so members can provide input whenever their schedules allow. Joining is completely free, you just need to secure a copy of We Should Not Be Friends: The Story of a Friendship.
Great book recommendations, stimulating conversation, virtual Author Talks, and, most of all, meaningful community.
