Promoting Success Among Gen Z Students
This February, the divisions of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs are pleased to offer faculty and staff two professional development opportunities on the topics of Generation Z in higher ed and in the workplace. Gen Z (aka iGen) is the second largest living generation in the United States after millennials. Born between 1997-2012, they make up the majority of our student population and a sizable number of employees.
What makes Gen Z special and how do we best teach, mentor, and work with them? Come find out through these two engaging presentations.
In this session, attendees will identify general characteristics of Gen Z students and their development, reflect on similarities and differences among Gen Z students and other generations of students, and apply insights to the educational contexts in which they work.
Lunch will be available starting at 11:30 a.m.
For planning purposes, please RSVP by Monday, February 5.
